To be an SDI Advanced Diver, you must complete four specialty courses and have 25 dives logged. The specialty courses we typically offer are Underwater Navigation, Night Diver, Drysuit Diver, Deep Diver, and Nitrox, but any four diving specialties will count towards the cert!

If you haven't been diving in a while and want to get back into the sport, this is the class for you! Whether it's been several months or over a year offer a three or six-hour program in which you will review your dive skills and regain your comfort underwater. . Cost includes gear rental (except personal gear) and wet suit.

Rescue Diving teaches you the invaluable skills necessary to be a self-reliant diver and to handle any in-water emergency. You will need to obtain your CPR, First Aid, and O2 certifications separately in order to complete the course. The course consists of one classroom session followed by a pool session and an open water dive, where you will practice rescuing divers in distress both above and below the surface. You must either be an advanced diver or have 40 logged dives before taking this course.

Becoming a Divemaster is the first step in the professional diver ranks. Once you have completed this course, you will be able to assist an active SDI Instructor during approved diving courses, as well as supervise and conduct dives for certified divers (provided the activities are similar to the graduate’s prior training). Please call the shop to ask about scheduling, completion times vary from several weeks to several months.

As an assistant instructor, you will be able to teach and certify students in the SDI Snorkeling Course, run the SDI Refresher Course, conduct the Knowledge Quest Review in the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course under the guidance of an active SDI Instructor, assist an active SDI Instructor during approved diving courses, supervise and conduct dives for certified divers (provided the activities are similar to the graduate’s prior training), and teach approved specialties after receiving instructor training in those specialties. You MUST be a certified Divemaster before signing up for this course.

Extend your diving season the easy way! This class instructs you on the appropriate use of a drysuit. Over two days you learn in the pool the skills needed, then the following day go to the open water to get your final certification. The class includes suit rental, tanks, and weights.

This is a two part course. First is a classroom session which will cover the biology of lobsters, physiology - how to identify their sex, finding a dive site, the proper methods of catching lobster, and how to cook and eat them, followed by a lobster dive at one of our favorite sites so you can catch your own!
